Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: I am attending the event, but not bringing a siren. Do I still have to register?
A: Yes, all attendees must register for the event.
Q: I would like to bring my siren, how do I sign up?
A: All sirens 3HP or larger (including all 24/48/72VDC electronic/mechanical sirens) must be signed up via the Google Form released before the event in order to be considered for the show. All smaller sirens are permitted during our small siren time before the main event (11am-12am) on a first come-first serve basis. We make no guarantee that any siren brought will be sounded, all sirens that show up are subject to inspection by our electrical team and will be permitted on a pass/fail basis.
Q: Why is there an $8 admission fee?
A: The Crystal Lake Scout Reservation (Camp Tesomas) is requiring a fee of $8 per Person as a condition of us using the facility for hosting sirencon. All admission fees and Cabin/Campsite payments go directly to the Crystal Lake Scout Reservation as a condition of us using their facility.
Q: Why do you charge a donation for entrance to the event?
A: We run the event solely on the generosity of our attendees. What you give to the event you receive. We also understand that everyone is in varying financial situations. Therefore we ask for a mandatory donation, however the amount is completely up to you!
Q: Can I register on the day of the event?
A: Yes! While we encourage attendees to register prior to the event online, we do support in person registration beginning the Friday before the event.
Q: What onsite lodging accommodations do you have available?
A: We have limited cabins and campsites available for our attendees. We suggest registering online before event day to secure your lodging as we cannot guarantee lodging availability when registering on event day. There are bathroom/shower facilities located across from our cabins and in the main camping area that are included with your lodging reservation.
Q: What do the lodging accommodations look-like?
A: Our cabins are very basic accommodations that offer a place to hang your coat and sleep! Each cabin has four beds (two bunks) that can be used by our guests. All attendees MUST supply their own bedding! Our campsites offer a fire pit, and come both with or without electricity.
Q: Is your event family friendly?
A: Yes! The majority of our attendees are families and we promote an extreme family-friendly environment for all of our guests.
Q: How can I order a T-Shirt?
A: We do several Batch orders of T-Shirts each year. We announce on our facebook group when these orders open as well as on our website. All T-Shirts are ordered through CustomInk, our third-party vendor. We do not sell SirenCon T-Shirts at the main event so please, order yours today!
